this conversation cleo had reminded me of one emily and i had last night when i was leaving the lab after another 12+ -hour day.

what emily actually said: the ice machine is out of ice

what i heard: ice fishing is my life

me: but you don't even like the cold

emily: what?

needless to say, she has never been ice fishing, so it could not possibly be her life. glad we're all on the same page now.
