it's corn and corn alone day
Nov. 28th, 2005 11:15 ami made way too much corn for thanksgiving. i've been having it with every meal. it's getting a little out of control. if you're wondering about the title of this post, check out the 10th teen girl squad cartoon.
it's COLD. it's like russia. apparently tempe skips fall and goes directly from summer to winter. it was warm this weekend. it's winter today. had to turn on my heater last night. i guess it is almost december, but i was expecting something more gradual.
found a new thing to play when i want to waste time: tossing eggs
made mesquite lime chicken last night and i'm going to have leftovers in a few minutes for lunch. yum. i don't really care that it's barely 11:00. i'm hungry and i'm going to eat. mmmfood. maybe that'll help me wake up. didn't get nearly enough sleep last night. surprise. won't be getting sleep until next tuesday night really.
i spent a few hours last night grading labs so i could hand them back to my students during lab today as promised. well, i get to petrology this morning and john decides we aren't going to have lab this afternoon. argh! it's good because i came home and since i'm skipping physical chemistry that means i can work all day on my project but it would have been nice to have known about this last night so i could have worked on my paper rather than grade. sigh. my students have their second test tomorrow so liz and i are holding a review from 5-8. we'll order pizza and it will be grand. hopefully they'll come with questions and not just expect us to teach them the last half of the semester of petrology.
anyway, time for me to grab some yummy food and get to work.
