i got a talk!

georion23i'll be presenting my thesis research in a talk at LPSC! no poster this year. excellent. my abstract can be read and admired by all here. the guy giving the talk right before mine is doing the same thing i am but has more water in his composition, and he references my previous work a few times in his abstract. fun!
i'm dehydrated and have a headache so i'm having some gatorade. red is my favorite flavor.
spent yesterday (and friday) at the microprobe analyzing my samples. listened to the entire third season of friends (that my lovely cousin erin gave me for christmas) playing on my laptop yesterday. it was nice to have something to listen to besides the humming and clicking of the machine. beck and i sent some entertaining emails back and forth, too. she's so funny.

after i got home, i found the tulips zack bought me had opened nicely. kepler decided they'd be fun to attack.

zack just got back from the field and checked on the brisket that i cooked last night. naturally, it is awesome and perfect. yum. just a little longer in the cooker and i can have some for lunch.
