fun in the kitchen

georion23i was really domestic today. went over and collected kristen and we went to the store. was going to make chili since it's starting to be cold at night, but they didn't have my seasoning, so my mom is going to send me some next week. decided to make a chicken-broccoli-rice-cheese casserole thing instead and kristen, jeff, adam, and i all had it for dinner. and i made a practice chocolate pie. it tasted good and looked okay. i made a few mistakes but know what i need to do so my pie for thanksgiving will be better. not bad for my first pie ever. i ate a lot. really full now.
last night i was laying in bed and was going to finish watching south park and then go to sleep. apparently i was more tired than i thought because i woke up holding the remote with the tv on at about 8am. turned off the tv and managed to go back to sleep for a few more hours. i'm still pretty tired. should go to bed early tonight.
more discovery channel fun for my wild and crazy saturday evening. first was fireballs from space (meteor showers, comets, and asteroids) and now i've got pompeii of the east (eruption of mt tambora in indonesia). good times. this volcano show is pretty cool. they're linking the 1815 eruption of this huge volcano with global weather problems in 1816, which may have contributed to mary shelley writing 'frankenstein.' interesting how everything is connected.
no one i cared about (that would possibly be on tv) played football today. no ut, tx a&m, asu, or ucla. sigh. oh well. watched 'so i married an axe murderer' with kristen and stayed in the kitchen for the majority of the day instead. sfa lost 41-21 to northwestern louisiana, losing chief caddo, the largest trophy in college football. bummer. arizona is playing on fox tomorrow so the cowboys won't be on. it's okay. erin and i may go to the batting cages for awhile.
i can't wait till happy feet comes out in nov 2006. it looks so cute! i love penguins. they're super.
tomorrow i must work on my project for planetary geology and i should also get some work done on my geology of mars project. should be good. i'm looking forward to it. they're both really cool projects. yay mars woo!
